I greatly appreciated your point of view. I share similar opinions on staying away from debt, not spending massive amounts on vehicles, v8s are good, wet belts aren't, etc. Please keep going on your channel. I hate to say it most YouTube auto channels seems to just carry the torch for the manufacturers they are boring copy paste and I tuned out awhile ago. Your channel is different in the best way its common sense in a world of insanity. I feel as if you are the silent majority's advocate. If recent times have show us anything its he who controls the media can paint whatever picture he chooses no matter how incorrect it may be. As a viewer I don't want an explanation on why the largest car manufactures cant seem to build a car or truck properly and "why its not that big of a deal" or why its a good thing because car were just built to well a few decades ago. Then to add insult to injury why me a consumer wanting a few things the way I like is dumb, uninformed, and not with the times, and in the great minority. I appreciate you didn't back up and said what I imagine a lot of people feel.
I think more than a few people want simplicity and reliability but they don't have YouTube channels and its not in car makers best interest to make vehicles that last forever built with common sense. Plus with the acceptance of car payments as a "normal" part of life its a match made in heaven to just keep up-selling with more gimmicks. Somethings got to give eventually.
Topgear (albeit entertainment focused) died and the days of what I believe most people think or want to say died with it. I wish for the days of " {Queue James} Toyota's brought out a new hybrid everything with safety sense 123 and axed its v8's..... {Blank look from Jeremy} anyways..... here's a video of us trying to destroy a Hilux followed by a v8 powered blender.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you I appreciate the support :). I agree with pretty much everything you stated. I do think that a lot of Youtubers and companies are just out of touch with reality and the money is easy. On the other hand, I completely understand why they purchase new vehicles for Youtube, it's either that or give it to the Government. I do think there are still some Youtubers that do share our opinion but know that they can't say it or risk being invited to the pressers.
Hopefully my videos will be a positive change for the industry, though sales numbers might argue against that. I have noticed since my first Tundra video many other Youtubers have started to create videos similar to mine in one way or another, I just hope they actually believe what they are saying and not just chasing views. I do think there is a time coming in the car market where sales might not be as easy as they have been for the past 4 years, when that comes, manufacturers better be prepared or they might not survive.
For the longest time, regarding the housing market and car market I have thought; How can this continue to roll on like it does with the cost of things not aligning with wages, but here we are.
