I just saw a post on Facebook from Ford Tech Makuloco about how complicated repairs have become. He's saying that in just 5 years, the tech time for a similar repair went up 10x. I wonder if all the brands are similar? I know parts take ages to get from personal experience on a work truck that sat in a dealer's shop for months. This indicates it's not just parts, but repair complexity as well. Here's the FB link in case you guys want to see what he's posted: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ALzujZ1Lb/
Thanks!
@thecarguy I just saw another post on FB by Ford Tech Makuloco regarding parts from Ford. He got a timing/phaser kit from Ford with a phaser already broken in the box. I have seen him make posts like this before. The quality control and Give A Sh*t in general by automakers is at a record low.

That's pretty sad. What's more sad is that after over a decade of building the ecoboost, we still see "cam phasers" as a problem. They really never fix their issues and when they send out parts, they are broken LOL. Was it easy to tell if it was a shipping issue or obviously packed as broken?
@thecarguy He made a point to show the shipping box a couple times. The box was fine. He's seen this before with the same part. I think it's a disgrace from the top down at these automakers. I looked into the board members of Ford and GM recently. Let's just say I don't think they have the best interest of customers. I met John Thornton once. His opinion of himself is unmatched. One of the slimiest guys ever. I'm sure most of the others are a lot like him.
