Check this out, Will it work or will it fail? Ford should fix its existing major quality issues before moving to this IMO:
Ford invests $5B in Kentucky and Michigan plants for new 'affordable' electric pickup truck production
I think it might appeal to those people that buy the Maverick honestly. Many people won't want it, but I think Ford found out with the Maverick that there is a huge contingent of people that want a small truck/bed/good mpg...and they don't care about ground clearance, towing, or much else, they just want a small truck for occasional bed use and maybe commuting with it.
@thecarguy agree with that 100%. It’s why the Ridgeline has had almost unrivaled reign in its segment after the Ranger left. Ppl love the Colorado’s (Sonoma/S10), and while Tacoma’s are slightly larger than most light duty ppl need, they’re also crazy expensive for those who want this capability.
@justiceelusive I'll have a new video tomorrow on the latest F-150 recall and this EV Maverick. I'm not sure what to think though honestly, I'm confused, but I know they shouldn't be spending $5B on EVs with the truck quality problems they have had. I wish these manufacturers would just fix their existing lineups to be more reliable instead of blowing billions on EV strategies.
Awesome, looking forward to it. I can’t help but think these huge domestics are putting that much investment in hoping that (and assuming in part) the next administration will be very amenable to this pushing of electrified on the masses potentially prior to the market having such an appetite.
That was a good vid you put up. Thanks
