Hi there - Was wondering if you have any recommendations for car dealerships in the Denver CO area that you've had good experiences negotiating with. I'm looking to buy a new Toyota, Lexus, Volvo or Honda.

Hi Lap. You can go in two directions in the Denver area that I see.

1: Dealers like Autonation/Schomp/Echopark tend to have prices fixed/set, and they really don't want to negotiate. That being said, Schomp and others sometimes tend to have the lowest initial prices, with no haggling, so if you are someone that really would prefer not haggling you could go that route.

2: There are all the "other" dealers that don't have a "one price no haggle" stipulation. Prices are sometimes competitive at these dealerships, I think Mountain States Toyota tends to have a lot of stock on vehicles, Corwin Toyota in Boulder does too depending on the model you are looking for.

Toyota/Lexus/Honda, in my experience are the toughest to haggle with. They tend to limit production and keep their lots thinner, and they have higher demand for their products. This leads to less haggling power for the buyers. You can still use traditional tactics, it's just harder to haggle on things that are in higher demand.

What models/types of vehicles are you looking at? Even with something like Toyota, you might be able to haggle on a Tundra or BZ4x, but maybe won't be able to haggle on a Rav4/Camry due to demand.
